Time (tick) Never (tock) Stands (tick) Still (tock)
time seems to stand still
(tick)
so there's time to kill
(tock)
but time flies by
(tick)
and leaves a void to fill
(tock)
an emptiness sucks you in like a black hole
(tick)
its out of control
(tock)
leaves your goals
(tick)
unattainable
(tock)
still you strive
(tick)
to arrive
(tock)
at the right place and time
(tick)
to meet your destiny
(tock)
and fulfill your fantasies
(tick)
but emptiness succumbs you
(tock)
and eventually becomes you
(tick)
everyone is nothing
(tock)
and nothing means a thing
(tick)
but nothing you can bring
(tock)
to this life
(tick)
could've prepared you for the strife
(tock)
you will feel
(tick)
but yet it feels so unreal
(tock)
dreams and reality blur into one
(tick)
they burn like the sun
(tock)
day and night
(tick)
dark and light
(tock)
don't matter any more
(tick)
but then what is time for?
(tock)
time's a sick reminder of the impending ending
(tick)
wounds not mending
(tock)
no healing
(tick)
no feeling
(tock)
numbness and black
(tick)
we've gone too far now and we're never turning back
(tock)
we've been dying since the day we were born
(tick)
and time stares with scorn
(tock)
as it laughs and mocks us
(tick)
because we're all nothing but dust
(tock)
being blown and thrown away
(tick)
because in the end time will make us pay
(tock)
but as time flies by
(tick)
and leaves that void to fill
(tock)
time is what will kill
(tick)
because time
(tock)
will never
(tick)
stand still
(tock)
