Life?

written by: hisquietchild

Freedom to speak and freedom to choose
don't validate our point of views.
I hear their bluntly spoken thought
through narrow minds, diversely taut.
Overstating news reports,
combating with some lame retort;
they argue that the world's all bad.
That each day's news is just a fad.
On Monday drinking milk's all right.
By Friday there's a dairy strike
since Thursday's news had just come out
that dairy causes SIDS and gout.
Because they see no present ill
they pollute their bodies with freewill.
Not only flesh, but, too, their minds,
computers, games and many kinds;
any lust they want or willed:
rage, romance and double cream filled.
Movies, too, have scant disguised
clever scripts that tantalize;
jokes that many think surpass
the level of a child's grasp.
This may be true, but souls retain
that, in which, exceeds the brain.
I wonder how we live at ease
Doing what we will and please.
