I Hate Your Black Eyeliner

There's a red light
Over this emergency exit
And all I know
Is I've had enough of this
Counting
These broken white lines
And counting
The number of times
That I've placed the blame on me
And I know you can't see
That its your fault, not mine
So just let me follow headlights
Cause they all go the same way
And let me sleep alone tonight
Cause I dont' know what to say
This bed feels so empty without you
Lying here by my side
But I'd rather be lying alone
Because then at least I know I was the one who lied
You just can't admit it
And you'll never fess up
But this guitar and my voice
Will give your charade up
So hold on to your dignity
Cause it's all you've got left
And stop overreacting just to react
