Temporary Sanctuary

Teenage angst
And Teenage waste
Overanxious teens, lost, they can't find their place
But all the damn anguish can't be seen in their face
Losing their minds, their life's like outer space
Everything seems limitless, it's just too much to take
Spending an eternity trying not to break
Trusting some too easily, a big mistake
Realizing that too many people are fake
Realizing that their own life is now at stake

So let me take this opportunity
To set back your anxiety
Even if it's only temporarily
I'll provide you with some sanctuary
Just sit back, relax and you will see
You and I are stuck in this reality
You may think all this is useless but contrarily
You can make this life of yours whatever the hell you want it to be
So dim the lights
Close your eyes tight
And dream through the twilight
All through the night
And learn to fight
Off the fears that try to spite
Your dreams, and let the fire ignite
Your tears, never again will you submit to fright
Cuz you realize now everything is alright
