Can't let it go

If I had a chance, I'd have never let you go
It's in the veins that flow, it's in the tears that glow
I intend to forget it all and let it not show
But then I keep it in me and allow it to kill me slow
Later with a tender touch it lets me know
It's all I needed ever it's all I wanted more
It tells me that you haven't left; you are still in my soul
It keeps me alive deep inside when I almost let it go

The only mercy that heeled me up and loved me enough to grow
The highest level of the sacred feeling that keeps me away from low
With the remaining to come, I've never cared to look down below
You'd be my written lines, my hidden side and the fancy flow
