Goodbye

As the storm breaks and rain falls

A stream of light bends from the clouds

And shines down on an empty field

Angels guiding him up above

To play for all to hear


The day begins so calm and bright

The birds in flight let out a cry

To show their sorrow as the days go by

The lost life of one, who they knew best

As the tears of friends and family fall

As the day goes on and on

The clouds grow dark since the dawn

They live on and on as it goes on

We realize now that he is gone

Now just a memory in their minds


As the storm breaks and rain falls

The sun goes down over the hill

The dark is upon them

Empty and lonely

Just to say "goodbye"
