Distance

Of all of my pain
That wracks on my brain
What hurts
The worst
Is the distance

I'm so far away
I can't take this today
I feel all alone
I need my own home
A place that isn't so distant

In the middle of no where
Where nobody cares
It's hard to find a friend
So the pain doesn't end
It just builds up in the distance

I'm trapped in this room
But I'm leaving here soon
I feel numb in this place
Like a star out in space
Trying to shine bright in the black of the distance

Dreams fade away
As does yesterday
Tomorrow will come
But only for some
Will it be what they saw in the distance?

As my hopes disappear
I drown in my fear
And I start to panic
As my depression becomes manic
There's not much left that can help me now in the distance

I reach for a hand
Someone to understand
All these things that are wrong
Cuz I don't belong
Lost in the distance
