Ode to a Young Coffee Drinker

written by: digi14tamer

A fresh brew from the pot
Fills my large cup with a lot
Of a juice with a wake-up call
To soothe the chill no more.

I lift it to my lips,
Taking a chance with some sips
Of its intoxicating taste
To sleep today no more.

But then there came a burning sense!
This ruined my joyous suspense.
Taking it at high speed,
My taste buds are no more.

So in my current state,
Anticipating, I wait
For the deliciousness to cool
'Til the drink is no more.
