Gift

She looked down at the box, small and round. She knew what it was. She wouldn't take her eyes off it, I couldn't tell if she wanted to believe or not. All I could do was watch her face as she opened it. Everything seemed so slow. Her elegant hand slowly was placed on the box that was in her other palm. She didn't seem to blink. She had all of her senses completely focused on the box. The box started to open, and her jaw started to drop. The closer it came to showing the surprise her heart beat started to race. Time seemed to stop.
