Riding Over Clouds of Grey

Riding over clouds of grey
As shades of day
Fade away into the distance
Stubborn resistance
From the inside, persistence
Towards a sound mind
That's just out of reach
I wanna seal the breach
Heal and teach
I beseech
Your attention
Did I mention
All this tension
Building on the inside
Rising like a high tide
At midnight it creeps up the shore
Asking for more
It implores
Your eyes to fall upon it
Entrancing like a sonnet
That's supersonic
Not monotonic
But vivid in its delivery
Asymmetric Symmetry
Inevitable captivity
Of those who's eyes see
What it is to be
To breathe
To float over the sea
And see
Everything around you and me
Transparently
To see the lack of substance
And rise above this
On the mist
Lightning strikes in the distance
A temporary daylight
Like a twilight
A highlight
On this dark night sky
but in the blink of an eye
it'll say goodbye
And return to the darkness from whence it came
It's a shame
You place on it the blame
When you never had time enough to even learn its name
