I walk along, walk along with
The weeping dust, my fallen dawn.
I sing a song, sing a song with
bewildered long, deeply wrong.
Silver white pines grace the sky,
Toward which, mere thought can only try.
Birds flit, and fluidly fly on deft, delicate wings,
Something which arms, can never attain.
Nature is resplendent in its simple primal things,
Where man is weak, with only his brain.
Two which once before were one,
Now each other wish to be undone.
I wonder how, wonder how with
Simple awe. What do we endow,
Whether we disavow, or die
Without. What are we, here and now?
