I'll Be The One

Hindsight is 20-20, foresight is blind
You have me searching for answer I can't find
I could use some insight, into your mind
All I know is that I don't want you to leave me behind
My heart hurts from hearing you sing that same sad song
You say it has been this way for so long
But I can't help feeling that not knowing is so wrong
I want to help, to make you happy, to find where you belong
Please don't leave me guessing while you fall apart
Please don't keep me locked out of your broken heart
I don't want to sit on the sidelines I want to be a part
If you would only sit down and explain to me, take it from the start


Then maybe you could shed some light on this situation
Just step out of the darkness of your frustration
Talk to me, for a moment or more
But please don't you lock the door
No not again, don't leave me out here
Please don't try to conquer all your fear
All alone, I can help you if you'll just let me
Give it a chance, I promise from this torment you'll be set free

I'll be the shoulder for you to cry on,
let your weary head lie on me
I'll be here, I'll be the one you can rely on
The bright star in the sky that you can set your sites on
I'll shield your eyes from what you're afraid to see
I'll help you cope, put your trust in me
I'll be here to listen contently
I'm right beside you fighting relentlessly
So call on me, in the darkness of the night
I'll be there just to hold you tight
Or just to talk or just to walk until daylight
Just give a chance and I promise you that we will win this fight

If only you could shed some light on this situation
