Bound to Lose

How many chances will it take
For me stop making the same mistake
I don't learn, I just press rewind
Like watching the replay a second time
The first time in a long time I've played this game
And somehow, for some reason it's not the same
I can't seem to win when I play it with you
Maybe it has to do with what you're going through
Or maybe it has to do with the fact that I don't understand
Or maybe it has to do with the fact that you don't think I can
Or of course the more obvious choice, I'm a loser, and that's to blame
It upset me more and more each I come away ashamed
I misread and misunderstand
I swear I'm trying the best I can
I want to be there I don't want to fail
But no matter how hard I try, it's to no avail
Neither destiny nor fate control the path I choose
But destiny and fate both know I'm bound to lose
