The Gentleman

There he ponders
what went wrong
as he wakes up alone.
There he fails
to see the good from something bad
as he wakes up alone.
There he stands
without no energy
as he realises he is alone.
There she goes
walking away, alone.
He spends to much time
dwelling in his self worth
Alone he cries
Alone he is
Alone he will be
Alone he remains
As she walks away.
years go by
there she seeks
there she marries
there she loves
as he
wakes up alone.
she thinks oneday
about the gentleman
that took her heart.
ponders if he is happy.
alone he is
alone he will be
alone he remains
until she comes back to him
