Nothing, Nowhere, and You

written by: OurSacredHonor

Everything slows down, I'm stuck in slow motion
I just hope that I don't drown in this vast ocean
One drop at a time, the rain is pouring down
Echo of footsteps, but nobody's around
It seems at any moment time can just stop
I could just give up, let myself drop

But I've held on to nothing for so long
I've tried so hard and always I am wrong
I'm all alone on this road to nowhere
I don't know why I feel I have to go there
But I push forward and stop for no one
Trying to escape this world with no sun

More lies heard in your cries
Grey skies seen through lost eyes
Darkness constantly hovers above
I can't ever connect with what I've been dreaming of
That imaginary world that I wish was reality
No matter how hard I try it always evades me

But I've held on to nothing for so long
I've tried so hard and always I am wrong
I'm all alone on this road to nowhere
I don't know why I feel I have to go there
But I push forward and stop for no one
Trying to escape this world with no sun

I'll never be brave enough to confront my past
I'll never be strong enough to make myself last
I'll never be good enough for anyone else
I'll never be free enough to escape myself
So I'll keep holding on to absolutely nothing
Trying to escape my sight
I'll keep holding on, searching for something
Trying to escape tonight

Inside
I'm empty
Outside
You dent me
Pressure
Has bent me
Nothing
Has sent me
To nowhere in search of you
