Live This Life Just Right

In a world so cold, and so full of pain
It's sometimes hard to keep your priorities straight
We forget what really matters too easily
We forget about all the simple things that make us happy
So let me bestow on you some valuable advice
If your ever down and out, I beg you please think twice
There are things in this world you have yet to discover
Secrets in the life you have yet to uncover
If you really want it to be, I promise you it'll be worth it in the end
Because in due time all our wounds will mend

Because tonight
When we turn out the lights
Under the stars shining so bright
We've won another battle in this endless fight
Just stare up at the stars for a while
Admire their beauty, and simply smile
And ten years down the road
In this same darkness, oh so cold
You can look at that same sky
With a shimmering sparkle in your eye
Even though years may pass us by
This life will always matter and we only get one try
So please sleep tight
We'll do everything we can to live this life just right
