I used to think bad things came to me like a disease
And I would get down on my knees
Praying to God show me a sign please
Finally I had a bit of his expertise

He said that take your greatest mistakes
Look closely at them for hidden treasure
And that's how your life should be measured
Not by what you wish you had

And you saying oh just too bad
But you should by how many butterflies
That flap when you hear her voice and you wonder why
How she could be interested in a guy like me who's too shy
