Childrens Rhymes

The worlds starting a fire
Trying to get to heaven
Just trying to get higher
and I still havent figured outthat the worlds a lier

Hop-scotch in the street
(Out came the sun and dried up all the rain)
Kids playing jump rope
Not realizing that theres no more hope
(And the itsy-bitsy spider went up the spout again)

The world got darker today
(The rain came down and the waves washed up)
The world got colder
The world got older
(But the house on the rock stayed firm)

I once thought you were the one
I'd see my future glimmering in you brown eyes
But you only saw as something fun
Your cruelty has finally won

I'm leaving today
Theres nothing nobody can say
