Fall From Dreaming

I don't know if I ever came close
But at least I tried to be good unlike most
I thought I could save the world with a simple rhyme
But that won't be enough this time

I have to learn to be more
So I can earn the right to be adore
I know that it'll be hard to be the one the need
But everything is worth it when I'm called on in the hour of need

I don't know what life has in store for me
But there is one thing I can clearly see
That I'm supposed to fight the bad
I'm the one you see when you are sad

I'm suppose to teach people to hold on for him
When all other lights have gone dim
I used to hate this strange calling
Because no matter what I did I kept falling

But now I have something to stand on
That I know my chance at happiness isn't gone
It's just put off so I can have something to look forward to
So I'll wait patiently until my dreams come true
