Building The Perfect House

written by: Daniel91

Man just transfer to a new school
He's ready to make new friends and be cool
He's ready to make a new name for himself
He never wonders about life itself

The man goes to work for the first time
He surrounds himself with friends who aren't worth a dime
He takes their drinks and their pills
Never wondering when it will be the end of the thrills

He just goes on partying till the night ends
He doesn't care that he's being the one who bends
For a group of friends who would do the same for him
But he doesn't care about how his problems are filling to the brim

Because they say he's cool so he'll be fooled
He lets them take his life and he lays back to be ruled
So he wouldn't have to be himself in a big scary existence
That's why he would always offer his own assistance

To all those who never really deserve any of it
Even though he doesn't show it man wonders if it'll ever quit
If he could ever take this fake face off
He knows life could be better without cost

But he has to stay in this hell hole
So he can learn about his own human soul
And how to earn his place in this worldly story
As he chases after God's eternal glory

He may stumble too much for ease
But God is the only one he feels like he has to please
Man knows in his heart that isn't right
Maybe that's why he feels so alone at night

He knows why it seems like his life is stuck
Because he has to stop passing the buck
To show people they can still have God's ultimate gift
Because no matter how far you drift

The man will always pull you back
He will always be there that's a fact
Even if you dont want the aid
The man saving people will be his crusade

God shows his undying love for all
No matter if they think of him to be small
In this fast pace world he built for us
He knows most of us don't care for him but he doesn't fuss

Because he wants us to be free
So he doesn't say anything until we're willing to see
How wrong we were and how we need him
To give us a life that isn't so grim
