Looking Up To Look Down

She was a simple girl from the back wood
She was consider white trash but she was misunderstood
She was anything but that
But people didn't see that little fact

They just had a first glance at her
Making her feel horrible was preferred
They didn't see her beyond tattered clothes
And those patch up shoes that showed her toes

She wanted to be so much more than this one sided face
So she did everything to make them think she was misplaced
They eventually caught on to this new fad
She was so popular with them she was glad

Boys saw her for something new
She thought their love was true
But all they wanted for some quick pleasure
So they court her for a chance at her hidden treasure

A boy stands out above the others with nothing to prove
Time passes along as they get closer to a point where they're nothing to improve
So the boy thinks that the time has come to make a move
But the girl didn't didn't think that her mother would approve

But that didn't stop the boy from taking her childhood
The girl doesn't know what to do
He was so charming how this could be true
All she wants is to go back to being misunderstood

What place do I have now she asked herself?
She feels like she has landed in hell itself
It was my fault for him doing this
That's want she repeats to herself until she can find bliss

No matter what her friends say
He had to go on with his life that was the only way
She should be left alone to rot
She wants to be forgot

Because she was the one who committed this black sin
So she goes outside to see a sunset as her life goes to the garbage bin
She climbs a tree with a rope over her shoulders
She makes a noose around her neck and jumps off

The Girls parents go to the morgue to see a doctor with a black folder
They wonder what did they miss they would have3 stopped her at all cost
She didn't leave a letter but she did leave a sentence saying I will always love him
The girl is now in a coffin wearing a dress that makes her look slim
