Come Back

Just to make a name for myself,

Just to make a happy home,

To keep in my life someone who cared,

Someone who was always there,

When I didn't even want them there.

And I swear I hope I never hurt them,

And I wish they could be here now,

In this time when no one is here.

To hear the whispered words of comfort,

When I needed them the most.

The shared warmth of knowing there is hope,

I hope they know I lost my last thread of hope.

Please come back for me,

Because you didn't have to leave,

Please come back,

Do you even know that you left me?
