Falling

My eyes growing weary, eyelids feel like lead
Each day just like the last, a build up of dread
I can't catch up, I'm falling farther behind
I can't slow down, I'm falling further through time

Eyes shut, I'm dreaming, but I see you there
Eyes wide, believing, that you truly care
I'm falling towards darkness, so cold and so bare
I could stay there forever, silently and stare

Into the depths of realms unknown
Far away from anything close to home
Sitting there I shiver, chills to the bone
Never have I felt so alone

I'm falling
Towards you
I'm calling
For you
Please help me
Get through
Don't know what
To do
I'm falling

Decisions bombard me, I'm not doing this right
I fear for me and fear for you, so lonely at night
Darkness enthralls us, there's no sign of light
I don't know about you, but to me that's all right

I find comfort in all the night's shadows
Dreaming in awe of pyramids and pharaohs
A world of my own where thoughts aren't so shallow
But say the wrong things, and say goodbye, I'm hanging in the gallows

My world that I made to get away
I'd like it if you visited, I'd love it if you'd stay
I'm sorry that these words fail to say
Everything you mean to me today
