Girl from the camp

written by: UsKidsKnow

I only saw you once
And that was enough

you were alone on the beach
watching the waves crash

We both sat at different tables at lunch
but you were looking at me
and my eyes were looking at you

You got up and left
I smiled and followed, but you were gone

I saw you playing volleyball
I was on the swings
The next day I came to play with you
but you had gone to swing with me

For the talent show I strumed an A minor
You were playing A major

For the dance, I was going to ask you
But then I saw your arm around his
My heart was broken

My world was crashing around me
and I turned to leave

Last day of camp I was in my car
I saw you through my window, you were in your car

On the foggy window you drew a heart
My heart began growing again

Next year you werent on the beach
Watching the waves crash

You werent playing volleyball
You werent swinging

You werent there

I never spoke to you
I never saw you again
but I will cherish you forever
