We All Fall Down

written by: twonite

These walls will crack and fall
The ceiling will collapse
May all glass shatter
and all candles be snuffed
The forests will burn
The mountains will level
Civilization will crumble
All wood will splinter
Every bone shall break
Love will turn to hate
Water everywhere will dry
Fire will grow cold
Diamonds will become dull
Building supports will snap
Clouds will plummet to the ground
People will be reduced to dust
Every thought shall be ceased
All feelings will be dead
There's no hearts to beat
And no eyes to blink
The wind has stopped
There is no rain
The sky is falling
The ground is in flame
The sun will go supernova
All light is then gone

Then,
In the darkness
After every trace
of anything is gone and done
There will be peace
Earth will be rubble and ash
The ball of nothing will not matter
It will sink from the universe

Then,
the planets will align
Every star will shine
Heaven will be everywhere
Happiness will be found
Not because the destruction is over
Not because the chaos is
over and everything dying,
falling to pieces,
and everything loved
bleeding out right before its eyes is finished
The heavens sing
because we are destroyed
Because we've always been in pieces
And this puzzle has no solution
Eventually, someone had to feed the fire
Someone had to burn away this problem
and end this madness
Because eventually,
we all fall down
