Have you ever sat and contemplated
The meaning of this life?
Have you ever sat and thought about
Why you sacrifice?
Have you ever sat in awe
Over all of life's wonders
Have you ever sat and found it hard to breathe
Feeling like you're going under

Have you ever sat
All alone
By yourself
Knowing damn well
There's no one else
Who'll be there
Who will care
So all you do
Is sit and stare
At those same four walls
They're closing in
And I can't begin
To understand
Anything
Here at all
But still no one
Hears the call
The silent cry
From my eyes
Not even you....

I believe in you
But you're not here for me
I try so hard
Just to make you see
But you don't seem
To know quite how
To show me that
You care about me now
Who's there for me?
No one, it's true
No one's there
Not even you...
