How Time Flies

written by: ValleyGirl

There you were, my baby boy!
Dressed to Impress at 9 months
A matching chupon for all your clothes.

You treat him como si fuera tu muneca!
It's because he is!
My little man.

Dinosaurs, Batman
and Barney too
Power Rangers, Harry Potter
and Lord of the Rings.

How I tried to protect you
from harms way, mi hijo.
I can't be there always,
you're growing up.

I didn't try hard enough, Mom.
I made a fool of myself.
Que verguenza
As tears rolled down his face.
My heart melted in an instant
when he found his real place.

What can a parent do
to protect her children?
Easier said then done
to set them on their own.

My little man
is little no more.
I know what's in store
his hurts
will be mine too.

aww I feel this was written for my oldest son (who by the way I have always called Little Man and still do even though he is 19yrs old) Very good, made me emotional. Sons are special.
