Too Hard to Believe

Am I the reason you call?
Am I the reason you breathe?
Or am I the reason you fall?
Am I the reason you bleed?
Am I the reason you hate?
Am I the reason you leave?
Or is the reason just fate?
Or is that too hard to believe?

Am I the reason or can I just not see?
Everything is crumbling down around me
Choices made and glory fades away
But yet for some reason I live to see another day
My head is heavy so in turn it hangs low
As I'm borrowing the sorrow of another tragic life's loss that I didn't know
How could we have ever foreseen this heart-wrenching torment?
How could we ever conceive the damage done while sitting dormant?


I'm searching for the answers as to why this all went wrong
And the only way I have to reach you is through this lonely song
I just want to know
These answers before you go...

How can we believe after being told so many lies?
There's no reason anyone should have to compromise
Their morals or their dignity for anybody else
The only reason people have to change is simply for themselves
Hypocrisy and contradiction veiling eager eyes
Lonely halls with lonely walls echoing lonely cries
It's just me, I'm just screaming, searching for the truth
All alone but still these words are reaching out to you
