The Good Christian Girl

written by: UsKidsKnow

There you are sitting in your pew
I'm wonderin' if I can sit next to you,
You're the good christian girl
Coming to church wearing that necklace of pearls
and your hair made up in those cute blonde curls

Your the girl whose smile makes me blind for a while
and I dont see that you leave me stranded, empty handed
Its not the first time, and its not the last time
You're leaving me hangin', as the seasons are changin'

I see you praying in your seat
I didnt realize that you were sleeping in the summer heat
You take your time to pray
I know you dont know what you're going to say

You toy with my heart, and my soul
Telling me lies, like you're going to make me whole
then you say "What would Jesus want me to do?
He's part of this too"

I see you wearing your golden cross
you just love to act like you're lost
Please stop playing games with me
and start to see that you ought to be with me
