Giving Hearts

When you give someone your heart
And they don't know how to use it
They can bring you to the highest places
And drag you through the worst shit
Make you smile and think your the one
Then throw you away and say that your done
When you trust someone no matter what
And they dont know how not to lie
They can make you feel special
Then twist those words and make you cry
Make you think you mean everything
Then make you feel like nothing
But when someone gives you their heart
And you don't know how to use it
you could end up hurting them
More than you ever intended
Make them wish they were never born
And end up with their feelings torn
And when they no longer trust you
Even if you never spoke a lie
You no longer have one another
To hold when all you can do is cry
And all the truths of love are left beneath
A thousand lies told through gritted teeth
