Distance

This distance between my lover and i,
hurts me so much the the tears wont flow,
but i continually pray for a better day tommorrow.

If tommorrow were to come today would things be right? would the love we once shared return within one night?
can sorrow be replaced with laughter,and laughter be replaced with love, can i feel that heaven sent romance that once was granted to us from above?

Can this dry place in my empty soul be erased and replaced with the companionship we once shared?
or will it die out like a burnt out candle,leaving only the singed smell of smoke upon my heart?
Leaving me alone, and torn apart.

I sit at the foot of the mountain as you stand firm at the top,
why are you so far from me, my rock?
I dont understand how you can see me drowning within the deep end, yet you continually stand and watch from afar in the shallow end,
your suppose to rescue me,my lover my friend.

As lava boils within your veins, my coolness no longer calms your flame,
I watch in pain becuase i know your love will never be the same.

Your love had once came into my life so abruptly,
now all its done was left me and corrupted me.

I lie in bed alone at night dreaming about a better day that will never come close again our way,
cause your love has left me where i lay...
