Killed Through Thrills, Thoughts, and Chills

written by: PhoenixSix

All smiles back to the spot, pills in hand
My heart could burst out of my chest and I'd understand
This is the only line I'm willing to wait for
This is what I yearn for, this was the aim
This is who I became, without naming names

But don't take it personal, or to heart
We were all out to get me from the start
It's the same in every life, like two hands
Mirroring another, the only way we can understand
Empathetic bliss, and in a few moments
Vistas of immense pleasure coursing through vents

Sometimes I imagine maybe this is all I live for
Maybe I am just another manufactured consumer whore
And I have constant arguments with my hallucinations
About what is really humane, and how to save nations
That voice to others has been all but put on mute
The mob has decided to not rebel, but to salute

He had a voice once, it was so strong and loud
All he wanted was the attention of the crowd
For just a second, to point out the fraud
In turning the other cheek, the message of God

Because a country that chose to act with such hate,
The followers of this messiah didn't contemplate
That our actions reflect our beliefs,
And no millionaire ever supports funds of relief

So how do I feel about our elite, the closest thing to divinity?
I think they are monsters, and the ultimate enemy of humanity
How do we bring justice, due process? Or, rather have it denied
Because truth be told, I would be ever joyful to see them crucified
