My ears are here
To hear the words
You fear to speak
Too weak to get control
I know and so
I go on trying to
Get through to you
So let me do
The things I used to
Listening
Is the thing
I miss the most about you

Scream a little louder
Try a little harder
I am getting closer
Although I may seem farther

My ears can't forget your laughter
It may seem silence has a lot to offer
But come a little closer
And whisper a little softer

I'll hear you
I'll hear you out
I'll hear you
I'll hear all about

Tell me everything
Anything
Just speak to me again
I resort to my pen
Like I did back then
When I didn't know
Any better
Like a letter to you
Reaching out to
Help you get through
I'm always there for you
I care for you
I'm prepared for you
With watchful eyes
And awaiting ears
Eager hands to wipe away your tears
Confide in me your fears
Like you did in past years
Because as always
For you I'm right here
