Some lives

written by: clairedac

Some lives have been given the blessed blue skies and sea
Some lives have been dip in the gold of the wishes true
Some have been made so almost complete through time
That when time comes, there's nothing left to doubt.

There have been times they have all looked at me then
And when I close my eyes in the dark of the nightest day
I see them staring at me, pointing and laughing at me
Telling me that I never had the chance to make it right
They teach me to be a better person who had a choice
A little bit of me that is left just leaves me to die
Tied in the ever strong ties of love and useless words
And after all the bees have left, I finally say goodbye

Some lives have been given the blessed blue skies and sea
Some lives have been dip in the gold of the wishes true
Some have been made so almost complete through time
That when time comes, there's nothing left to doubt.

She has been given all the love there is in the world
She has all things that I have wanted for so long
There is nothing left to empty her heart and soul now
For there is nothing left in the backseat of her car
I will rhyme and rhyme for the sake of poetry and words
But they will cease to be when she holds out her hand
Then all words will lose out on her smile and graceful walk
While I stand alone, unable to say what made me cry

Some lives have been given the blessed blue skies and sea
Some lives have been dip in the gold of the wishes true
Some have been made so almost complete through time
That when time comes, there's nothing left to doubt.

Calm me down, for when the tide comes in tonight
I will flow away, and you cannot stop me this time
Reddened by the only little dream that has been spared
And cooled by the sea that holds my breath
Laugh, laugh at me, that's all that is stopping me now
Kill me, before the sun is set on this bright day now
Give me that glory when I will smile and be my own
Because some lives is all that I will ever be given.
