Unwanted Metamorphosis

written by: Wild Serenity

We're slipping
Clawing at the threads that hold us
Afraid to let go
But yet knowing
That sometimes we lose ourselves

I hate that it happens now
The metamorphosis of our lives
Leaving us both, or maybe just me
To hit the ground hard

Things change, it's a fact
But why can't they take something else?
Something less crucial
To my
Survival

Please don't let me fall
