Please, just leave me here in this pit
I'm falling, falling down into this shit
and I can't seem, can't ever seem to get my sources straight
Because a Crooked man from a crooked time
Told me the secrets between loving and lying
I never heard him say that they were different
As I took the long way home
I saw a dead dog, and in its mouth a bone
And I realized that the dog was a warning
Because a Crooked man from a crooked time
told me the secrets between loving and lying
I never heard him say that they were different
I saw the casket sink into the ground
The person inside never made a sound
She was gone before I could stop them
Because a Crooked man from a crooked time
Told me the secrets between loving and lying
I never heard him say that they were different
At midnight I saw a clown
on his head was a broken crown
He didnt know what year he was in
Because a Crooked man from a crooked time
Told me the secrets between loving and lying
I never heard him say that they were different
When you were here the world made sense
Now I'm sorounded by a barbed wire fence
A blind man living inside a garden
Comments:
good song style poem i like the explanation of it being about someone close being lost and the pain you feel when that happens by the way "since" should be "sense" just so you know
