Two Alone

written by: OurSacredHonor

Me
and you
Are two
People
That are just alike
I
Don't know
Why you think
That you're always Right
So
I push
And pull
Just to get through
To you that I count too
Still you
Can't see
Just let
It be
Problems Bleeding Profusely
From the heart
Torn apart
From the start
Laid it on the line
And in time
We find
The stampede
Of greed
Supercedes need
And impedes
And feeds
Like a parasitic disease
Anything to please
Themselves
Forget everyone else
Their selfish
And their wealth is
Everything they are today
Is there a way
To say
This all
To stop the fall
Of from everything good for which we fought
Stop the chaos they have wrought
Learn the from lessons the past has taught
Escape the traps that have us caught

The media
Is feeding ya
Corporations getting greedier
Knowledge Encyclopedia
Bundled in bytes and bits
I'm so sick of it
This world
That hurls
Around words
That are so absurd
Nobody stops to think
We're on the brink
Can't appreciate our lives
Too many guys leaving their kids and wives
We dwell on the strife
Like we're walking on the edge of a knife
We're twisted inside out
Turning about
On and axis
We don't know what relaxing is
We're stressed out and strung up
Another teenager is hung up
Or shot dead full of lead
Or passed out on the bed
Too many problems, swallowed a bottle instead
It makes me queasy
How people want it so easy
Anything to please me
Tease me
Then leave me
Here by myself
Just like anyone else
I'll give you a tip
Then give you some lip
Then slip you a sip
And go get a grip
Try to flip
Follow the blip
On the screen
It's obscene
Yet it means
Everything
And nothing
We're trapped
And wrapped
Up in ourselves
We're to selfish to let ourselves out
So we scream to let go
But what we don't know
Is that our own arms pin us
Our own fears within us
Keep us down
On this ground so cold
So alone
