Memory

written by: Mike Basile

MEMORY

Blank my mind,

forget it all.

Not ready was I,

for this fall.

Forget you then,

forget you now.

If only there was,

some way how.

Your face I can't,

remove from me.

No longer do,

I wish to see.

Angry I grow,

violent too.

Now when I have,

thoughts of you.

Images flash,

in my brain.

I believe,

I've gone insane.

I watch the red,

run down your face.

Wonder how,

that color tastes.

Mix your blood,

with my tears.

Reality's now,

what I feared.

That even after,

you I've killed.

Still my freedom's,

not fulfilled.

Take a gun,

to my head.

Fill my brain,

with molten lead.

Spill myself,

upon the floor.

Remember now,

I do no more.
