Only in the City

written by: OurSacredHonor

Only in the city
Can you be alone in a crowd
Only in the side can you hear silence so loud

If the sidewalks could talk
What a story they could tell
Of the gory glory
Of the city that never fell

Homeless
Grity
Comics
Wity
Skyline
Pretty in the city

Anger born
Lean on the horn
Traffic and scorn
With light, dark is torn

Night sky
Sky high
Buildings scrape the sky
Escape the eye
Wondering why

You don't know a New York minute
Until you've been in it
The city's heart is ice cold so don't try to win it
