Calvaire

written by: Dan Anderson

Walking with you through "Calvaire"
we did not hold hands
though they brushed when we
walked too closely

I approached you for a kiss
but your brother appeared and
stole the moment
and proceeded to mock the Lord

A dozen scenes of crafted copper
depicting the tortures of Christ
2000 years later I leave Calvaire
still wanton of a kiss
