A World Below

Like a rippling mirror,
the surface reflects the sky.
The trees in the distance
appear upside down,
hanging from the sky.
Underneath hides another world;
of cold and darkness.
This world is home to thousands,
going through each day
as though they were
swimming through water.
And here they will stay,
waiting for their world
to be turned right side up.
