He's a rambler, he's a gambler
The king of the train
He don't know where he's going
he's just trying to excape the pain

He's a hero, he's a zero
A man of integrity
He don't know where he's going
he's going to see all that there is to see

He's a crook, he's a book
He knows all there is to know
he don't know where he's going
but he knows he's got to go

And when he's done, and had his fun
He'll come back to you again
He never knew where he was going
but he knows where he's been
