My ship's come

The time is here, my ships come
Everybody's trying to get some-
sort of prize out of me
Why can't I just be let be

There I go, I'm falling down
my head's falling on the ground
Where are you going, can I come too
Forget everyone, it's just me and you

When you asked "Do you love me or not?"
My answer was not the one you sought
I just kissed your forehead and walked away
And I haven't seen you to this day

I heard she broke down in tears
That stuck with me for years
Now I am only an empty man
Everybody's taking what they can

So I am just an empty soul
Gonna try to be whole
Ain't got no money, but I don't want none
All I'm looking for is to have some fun
