A Light too Bright

Numbness overcoming me. Darkness surrounding me.
Higher than an Evening Star. A blanket stretching from a far.
Safely, Gently, wrapping me. A peace that only I can see.
No longer fighting to be free. I'm giving up to destiny.
Sleeping calmly, I can feel. A peace to me that seems unreal
And yet a light from far away, wants to change my night to day.
Shining strong and warm and real My eyes open, against my will.
No longer fighting, not to see. I've given up to destiny.
Reaching forward to the day Knowing night's not far away
Thoughts of both remain the key While searching for my destiny
