Change

So here I am
Alone in the dark
So I figured maybe
I should go take a walk

To clear my head
And to figure it out
Why it is that
I am in doubt.

I remember the day
That we first met
Everything about it
In stone it is set.

The smile and laugh
You got out of me
It's etched into my mind
For eternity.

Remember when we started
our lives together
I really though it
Would be forever.

But somehow time has
decided to change you
I want you back
What can I do?

I don't think it's possible
To change someone
But you did it freely
On your own it was done.

Where did you go
I miss you dearly
I don't know how
I can go on freely.

To stay with you
Breaks my heart
But I don't think
I could live apart.

I keep hoping
You will revert
Back to you
So I won't hurt.

What can I do
But keep on waiting
But I may myself
keep on hating.

So here I am
Don't know what to do
I'll just keep on
waiting for you.
