i guess i don't need you to mend my pain.

written by: Tearful Angel

I stood in the light and waited for direction.
I looked to the distance to reach a reaction
-but as i waited, no one could see.
-and as i hinted , no one would read.

all this time i gave them the answers
i looked for their meanings and shared in their feelings.

Now all that i asked for was a healing,
a strong armed hug to keep my heart beating.
i wanted someone to come find me.
i drew up maps and marked the pathing.
-but as i stood waiting, none was looking
no one read the signs or felt wood carvings.

so here in the light i stand looking ,
hoping you can hear me screaming.
- but mybe i was too good at hiding
or maybe it's you who has no will to find me.

its funny how quickly you all forget,
that i'm the one person that would craddle your head.
i wiped your tears, i layed ur bed.
i remembered everything you said.

but i'll stand here, and find my own way,
and i'll continue to be your friend.
my heart will repair and i'll make it ok .
I guess i don't need you to mend my pain.
