love takes the reigns?

I'm far from ready to give you a chance,
I'm far from able to understand your plan
The consent changing of my heart in the wind
The only thoughts I have are those made in vain.

I can't say those words you want me to say
I can't do those things you want me to do
The place where my heart hides is locked in chains
The thoughts about my hearts wishes are killed in their earlier days.
I can't admit that, that will make life simpler for you
Even if keeping this secrete makes life harder for me

I want to be perfect, the girl that you need
I want to be confident, admit love with ease
I want to scream joyful words, explain what I feel
But I'm not ready to be all of those things
I'm not ready for all you need me to feel
I'm not strong enough to handle the risks in between...

But when I see you, my mind begins to change
And love takes the reigns...
