Present Against Starting Tomorrow

written by: OurSacredHonor

I'll make you laugh
I'll make you cry
I'll make you do it all for me
I'll make you breath
I'll make you lie
I'll make you live and die for me

So take these words to heart
Read past all the similes
Stumble over your misplaced trust
That ended up with me

These syllables will hold your hand
And walk you to the ledge
These consonants and vowels will take the wheel and steer you off a bridge

As you're sinking slowly let each sound be
A weight wrapped round your ankle tightly
When all you can hear is the rhythm of this song and your own heartbeat
Fading in your head, I'll whisper lightly

I'll make you laugh
I'll make you cry
I'll make you do it all for me
I'll make you breath
I'll make you lie
I'll make you live and die for me

Precious precise punctuations permeate particularly placed pauses
And altogether alleviate aches and arches
Structures safely secured, sitting silently, shamed, sure
To tie together torment to today
