The Friend

written by: UsKidsKnow

So, he's standing there
and you decide to go to him.
Even though you know this story well.
You run to him, he hurts you, you run back
Don't you get sick of the Deja Vu?

He's standing there, looking cool
With his hippie hair, and goatee
You go to him like a moth
Like a moth to the same flame

I'm down on my knees
But my tongue can't find it's voice
To tell you how I feel.

When he hurts you
It's me you go running to
And when all is said and all is done
He has you, and I have nothing

And can you ever see
I'm here, it's me
Whose heart is open
And it's waiting for you

I'm down on my knees
But my tongue can't find it's voice
To tell you how I feel.
