Everything Stays the Same

written by: OurSacredHonor

Walking back to my room I see the dim lights
That the darkness bites
They're just bright enough to cast
A long shadow as I walk past
I walk up to the door
Open like before
So I walk up to my cellar in the wall
I arrive in the room to the smell of alcohol

Nothings new, nothings changed
Everything stays the same

My room mates high again
I'm just trying to get by again
No matter how hard I try again
This vicious cycle will never end

I come back from class
To find my room mate on his ass
Chugging down a Budweiser
Reading about some German Keiser
I try to ignore him
But his belches quench his boredom
So as I get up to go
When I come back I know

Nothings new, nothings changed
Everything stays the same

My room mates high again
I'm just trying to get by again
No matter how hard I try again
This vicious cycle will never end
